Thank you Wanda

Yesterday the Greater Big Bend Coalition sponsored a presentation by Wanda Olszewski, Superintendent of Davis Mountains State Park.   Those in attendance learned that the historic Indian Lodge is scheduled to re-open in the next few weeks and one of the star attractions is the Montezuma Quail.     With park visitation climbing every year Wanda and her team are continually on the go keeping camping facilities up and running and watching over the park’s natural resources.

The park has many miles of trails including over 12 miles of primitive trails.   Did you know that over 50 percent of the park is on the north side of the highway where few people go?   Thanks to Wanda attending our meeting today we are all learning more about the Greater Big Bend and the challenges we face in the future in conserving the great outdoors in our part of the world.
